Day 1: Arrival
To get you in the mood, awaiting you in your hotel room you will find a facsimile edition of Robert Schumann (Autobiographical Notes), a museum guide to the Robert Schumann House Zwickau and a double cd with recordings of the XIV. International Robert Schumann Competition for Piano and Voice (Zwickau 2004).

For the remainder of the day, we recommend a pleasant stroll around the old town or a visit to the Priesterhäuser (Seminary) in the cathedral square, right next to the Robert Schumann House.

Day 2:
Begin your Schumann Tour with a guided city tour through the old town and let our expert guide inform you about the stories and history of a city of almost 900 years. In the afternoon, visit the house of Schumann's birth. Behind its reconstructed façade, the Robert Schumann House Zwickau at Hauptmarkt 5 houses the world's largest collection on Robert Schumann with over 4000 original handwritten documents by Robert Schumann (1810-1856) and his spouse the pianist Clara née Wieck (1819-1896).
